Louisiana Children’s Museum announces holiday camps

Kindness Camp and Cozy Camp offer hands-on learning, creative activities and seasonal fun during school breaks

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Children’s Museum (LCM) is inviting families to make the most of school breaks with its upcoming Kindness Camp and Cozy Camp, offering children opportunities to explore, create and learn through activities inspired by the season.

“Our holiday camps offer children the opportunity to get creative, explore the world around them and stay engaged while school is out,” said Tifferney White, LCM CEO. “Through hands-on activities, art, storytelling and play, campers can continue learning, build connections and make memories during their school break.”

Kindness Camp takes place Nov. 23, 24 and 25 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. This camp experience offers one-, two- or three-day sessions featuring nature explorations, story time and art activities centered on kindness. Campers will explore LCM’s outdoor and indoor exhibits and enjoy fall-themed, hands-on activities that bring science and art to life through a variety of activities.

Cozy Camp takes place Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 28-30 from 8:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Campers will explore how animals stay warm in winter, how nature changes during the season and how people find comfort with friends and family through traditions, celebrations, stories, art and play. This camp will also feature a special pajama day and holiday treat-making activity.

Both camps are open to children ages 4 to 8 and cost $73 for LCM members and $83 for nonmembers. Registration is required, before and after care options are available for both camps for an additional fee.
