Summer Communications Intern (Paid)
The Communications Intern supports the Client Services team in the day-to-day needs of client accounts, while gaining knowledge of the public relations field. Interns work directly with assigned strategists executing tactical assignments and are given individual projects from which they can learn and develop their skill set. This hands-on approach allows interns to build their resumes and portfolios.
As the activities of a public relations practitioner vary daily, hourly and even by the minute, intern activities can include administrative support, research, writing, editing, account assistance, design work, social media engagement, special event support and media relations. At its core, the internship delivers opportunities to learn and improve bedrock public relations skills of research, writing and editing.
Gambel Communications’ Internship Program is a (minimum) three-month hands-on experience aimed at developing core public relations concepts and strategies desired in most entry-level public relations positions. Gambel Communications prides itself on offering a competitive opportunity with real client experience that will set aspiring professionals apart from their peers entering the public relations field.
This is a paid internship. Intern schedules can be flexible but must include 20 hours working in our office per week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and/or Friday.
