Meagen Moreland-Taliancich brings over 15 years of multi-sector communications experience at the local, national and international level to Gambel Communications where she serves as a senior communications strategist. A native of South Carolina, Meagen is a graduate of The George Washington University and earned a master’s in French Studies from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

In 2014, she joined the Consulate General of France in Louisiana as press & communications attaché, where she led public relations for the French government through multiple crises, cultural festivals and diplomatic visits by high-ranking political figures from around the world. During this time, she also completed formal public relations and crisis management training in Paris at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meagen first joined the Gambel team in 2018 and has since guided successful local and national campaigns for multiple clients including Louisiana Office of Tourism, United Way of Southeast Louisiana, LSU Health New Orleans and the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce.

In 2020, she co-founded Happy Raptor Distilling, joining only 8% of female distillery owners nationwide. As chief brand officer, she built the brand from the ground up, managed an exceptional team and led communications and strategy through a global pandemic, a Category 4 hurricane and a rapidly shifting economic landscape.

Meagen is a proud alumna of Beloved Community’s Equity at Work: Hospitality inaugural cohort, a two-year intensive requiring more than 60 hours of equity training, as well as the Goldman-Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program, the City of New Orleans Civic Leadership Academy, Bryan Bell Leadership Forum and the Loyola Institute of Politics.

Her work has earned her recognition as a New & Notable cover profile in Biz Magazine and inclusion in The Biz 500. In 2024, she was honored with the Anvil Award and the Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America for her work with the Louisiana Children’s Museum and United Way of Southeast Louisiana.

Whether leading crisis communications, building brands or fostering community change, Meagen brings dedication, empathy and expertise to every project and stage.
