Meet The Team

Annie Matherne is a senior communications strategist with nearly a decade of extensive knowledge and experience in media relations, crisis communications, social media strategy and internal communications. In her current role, she develops and manages communications strategies and solutions for a wide variety of clients.

Before joining Gambel Communications, Annie served as the director of public relations for Audubon Nature Institute for eight years. Annie has worked on stories ranging from announcing critically endangered species to premier New Orleans fundraising galas.

A respected public relations practitioner, Annie sits is on the board of directors for the Public Relations Society of American New Orleans chapter and is a member of the Press Club of New Orleans. She is certified in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for AI-generated search.

Annie graduated from Spring Hill College with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising and a minor in Business Administration.
