With nearly two decades of experience shaping narratives and navigating complex communication landscapes, Alicia Vial is a seasoned communications leader dedicated to elevating her clients' stories. As the senior director of public relations, Alicia is at the helm of strategic communications, ensuring clients receive innovative solutions. She prides herself on being a meaningful partner with a proven track record of success, deep industry insight and a passion for achieving exceptional results.

Before joining Gambel Communications in 2021, Alicia served as the communications director for the Louisiana SPCA, the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in the state that impacts more than 74,000 animals per year. During her eight-year tenure, she oversaw numerous crises, served on national communication taskforces, managed all aspects of internal and external relations and worked alongside the development department to raise critical funding. Prior to that, she worked in the fast-paced New Orleans hospitality industry focusing on digital public relations for multiple hotels.

An Accredited Public Relations (APR) practitioner, she holds certifications in crisis communications, organizational leadership, content marketing, social media and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for AI-generated search.

Alicia is a trusted voice in the PR community and serves on the board of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) New Orleans Chapter and is a member of numerous industry organizations like the Public Relations Association of Louisiana (PRAL), Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF) and Press Club New Orleans.

Alicia is a New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute (NORLI) alum and was recognized as New Orleans CityBusiness as part of their Young Professionals Power List and has been named Senior Public Relations Practitioner of the Year by SPRF. Dubbed early on in her career as one to watch, she also received the ‘Rising Star’ award by PRAL and was profiled in St. Charles Avenue Magazine as part of their Young Bloods series.

An LSU graduate, Alicia received a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in public relations and minors in business administration and leadership development.
